Bacchanal Time Calypso Tent burst on the Barbados scene in 1995 with a pledge to be innovative, creative and to take tent entertainment to a level where it had never been before. And that's exactly what it did!

Bacchanal Time made history by being the first calypso tent to win ALL the major calypso titles IN ONE YEAR and its debut year to boot. Triple winner Edwin Yearwood won the Party Monarch, Pic O De Crop and the Tune of the Crop (Roadmarch) titles for 1995. Plus our own "Tiny" took the Junior Monarch title for that year. In fact from the inception of the Party Monarch competition, and for a number of years the winner was from Bacchanal Time.

Bacchanal Time also is known for the high level of professionalism and entertainment delivered at its shows. Wowing the audience with comedic presentations, impressive special effects & sleek dance routines compliments of our Dance Machine Dancers, Bacchanal Time turns each of its shows into an event.

Bacchanal Balance - Not only are we about entertainment, but Bacchanal Time also has serious calypso fuh so from our Calypso stalwarts Romeo, Kidesite, Classic, to name a few.

In 2008 Bacchanal Time is re-inventing itself once more with the theme of What A Kadooment. This year Bacchanal Time has done an extreme makeover on the George Street Auditorium � patrons will leave the outside world and walk into the atmosphere of Grand Kadooment with all the revelry, and color and frolic associated with our national festival.

Visiting the tent this year you can expect another year of extremely high quality entertainment.

Returning to the tent after a brief absence is:- Allison Hinds, Super D and Romeo. New to the tent this year is Justin King and Ruby Tech. Part of Ruby Tech�s performance will be a tribute to his father Winston Jordan a stalwart of costume design in Barbados. Guest performing in the tent for some of their performances will be Rusty Pin and Wacky Wayne. You can also expect the usual acts like Spin Pooch Inc., Classic, Kid Site to name a few. All of these acts will be enhanced by the scintillating performance of the Sankofah Dancers.
